CISI states that the final GOM sitting is 26 November 2026 and strongly recommends that Winter 2026 sitting for resit candidates only. Candidates should confirm their eligibility directly with CISI.

Not by itself. The current route also includes Level 3 Operational Risk and Level 4 Managing Operational Risk in Financial Institutions. CISI says candidates who pass GOM have until 31 December 2027 to complete the remaining Diploma requirements.

The official manual estimates approximately 200 hours. It also advises that candidates should have relevant practitioner experience, training or exposure to an operations environment.

The learning hub includes five typed written practice papers with compulsory A25/B35 and two-of-five C40 sections. Estimated practice feedback is not an official CISI grade or pass prediction. Separate revision sets contain 160 question placements: 128 distinct primary questions and a 32-question Mixed set drawn evenly from the first four. Study resources include 12 chapters with female and male audio, 294 flashcards, 95 methods and operational references, and a syllabus-grounded tutor.
